Is there a way to hang this hood without cabinet mounting? It will go over an island with no cabinets over....

So it goes underneath a built in hood?? Are the controls for the hood at the underside of the hood?

Hello and thank you for your inquiry.

This range hood is meant to go under a cabinet as it is designed. The controls are underneath to make for a clean front of the range hood.

The term "under cabinet" is meant to describe the application which is used for the design. "Under Cabinet" is the application this range hood is meant for, as opposed to "wall mount chimney style" which would show an exposed stainless chimney running up the wall to cover the duct.

A recent customer who purchased this range and hood provided us with the photos as he used the range hood with a wooden range hood cover application. Please take a look at the photos below for reference. You can also see the location of the controls. Thank you.
