Thanks all. I have to say that the first bulb to bloom from this cross was just "blah"...but I was excited that a cross of mine had bloomed. This bloom is what I had envisioned, more or less. MORE actually as the deep coral color was a surprise. Guess this little bulb inherited the best from both parents!! NOW...to wait a couple years for the H. Exotica x H. Papilio to bloom!

I've got a couple (just 2 I think) survivors of Exotica x Papilio too. I think we did them the same year. I'm sure yours will bloom way before mine; I look forward to seeing either of ours!!

The color of your Exotic Pearl is really yummy and when you've got 4 flowers it will be even more lovely!! Good job!!☺☺

The fact that this put out 2 more blooms (total of 4) surprised me. I didn't even see the pending blooms when I first saw the blooms. Guess I was too focused on the open flowers. It's still going strong. 85-degree days haven't fazed it.
