Can an IGU be used to do this same thing?

Can you do this same thing with IGUs (double/triple paned) or is laminated glass a requirement for safety? Beautiful construction!

You could use IG units but there would be a metal channel at the perimeter of each pane so the look wouldn't be as clean. And you must use safety glazing with glass this close to the floor, either tempered or laminated would work. Glad you like our work!
