Off white cabinets, what to do with backsplash

We've purchased the supplies to complete the repainting of our oak cabinets. The color is an off white with dark toner rub (shown) In addition counter tops have been ordered (shown) & stainless steel appliances purchased. To help offset costs we would like to KEEP the backsplash, but fear white washing will clash with the off white cabinet color.. does white and off white match? Our brick has a pink tone to it, will that clash with our warm white cabinet color? We need an inexpensive fix! Help!

I think just painting the brick backsplash creamy white will look nice.l White painted brick backsplash. I like this...sort of a "rustic" subway tile effect.

You could also do a wash on the bricks. This blog has really good instructions for doing that on a kitchen backsplash and the granite is very similar to your granite.

If you have not started yet please do no use the rub they will always look dirty just like the picture and IMO the brick will not look any better with that counter even if you whitewash it. You are going to all this work change the backsplash.

I wouldn't paint those bricks , but rather change the counter top that you have chosen with something plain either dark or much lighter, white and off white are different and put together one will look dirty next to the other.
