A few pretty blooms

Hi all, just wanted to share a few pretty flowers opening today. These are all grown from KO seed.

It's our Autumn here now - apparently! - although we're expected to reach 34c in Brisbane. So our plants are still blooming away.... I'm not complaining :)

.... If you have any pretty flowers blooming today, please post them here also, so we can all enjoy.....

A beautiful yellow that keeps its colour & opens like a rosebud.

A pretty white/with light pink stripe.

A ruffled santa claus type.

Marlene, I have to agree with eeyore, that first purple is beautiful. Very unique. More please!!! Rachel.

Wow just stunning. Rachel we have struck a winner with Mr Ko seeds so exciting and your buttercup yellow is so beautiful. Marlene the purple double is magnificent.

Rachel were your rosy flowers from a similar mother rosy of MR KO

Maria, believe it or not, but all 3 came from 2 different triple yellows we ordered. (I do not know which numbers/we only recorded that they were yellow seed.) The ruffled Santa Claus type is the odd one out - we think maybe it was a "sport". Rachel.

The first little purple one is from a graft which I got from a friend in Western Australia. I have since found out that this friend got it from another friend of mine in Queensland. This plant will remain as a special one in my collection.

I have only one that I can match with a photo when I ordered it but who cares. I definitely have a Santa Claus type, named when I brought it The Dutchess.

Maria, we also don't mind the variety that seed can produce. I'd rather more variety then have every seedling flower the same colour. Btw if you have any plants flowering at the moment, please post some photos. Rachel.

Awesome blooms! The yellows are my favorite. Great job.

The top photo shows bloom a few days later on the left but the same plant. Grafted plants flowering well at this time Rachel just as last year.

Just lovely enjoying the rain. I can think of nothing else I would rather do but to potter around my lovely plants.

I was showing off my photos at work the other day and a friend asked me how much I would expect to be paid for one of my tricolour Adenium in a nice pot and I said $100. She said, Oh I would never pay that for a plant!!!

I just smiled at her and thought, that's all right I will enjoy it until someone does...

    Happy Adeniums everyone !!!

Marlene, that yellow of yours is gorgeous. Love it!

Maria, very nice blooms & love your Buddha statue guy (the grey one). He makes me feel very zen & he looks so happy in your adenium garden.

    Rachel :)

My bloom is a small variety of adenium, with cute little flowers, this was bought from Bunnings for $8.99.

Later I will repot and trim.

I'd like to try to grow some adenium from seed. I only have one that I grew from seed 17 years ago. What is KO seed and how do I find them to order? Your pictures are all so gorgeous.

Hi dirtygardener, KO seed refers to Mr KO. On this forum he is well known by all of us, that we all just say KO seed. His seed is very reliable and trusted. His website address is adenium.com.tw (just click on the link & it will take you to KO's website & then click on the 2017 seeds price list). Mr Ko's email address is (adenium@adenium.com.tw)

Rinoa is also a well trusted supplier of seed, & you will hear her name mentioned on this forum too. She used to work for Mr KO. Either one is recommended. Her website address is orient-adenium.com

Why not check out both sites as they have different prices depending on what you want. Also, adenium seed do not necessarily come true from seed, which just means you may get some with similarities to the mother plant & some that may be more different. Either way you will end up with some beautiful colours & flowers. Rachel :)

Thank you so much! I'll definitely be placing an order. I saw his eBay page, but the bids were way too high for my pocketbook. I'd like to get some of the cross seeds just to see what I'd get. I love surprises.
