Burn on hilo beauty?

last modified: 9 years ago

I have a setup in a storage room that has been working very well for me with rooting. Today I noticed a strange sunken spot on my hilo beauty cutting...toward the tip is a wrinkled area. The light does get hot and I'll admit to leaning the hilo beauty against the metal shelf for balance so I think it just burned. Should I cut that part out? I just checked the bottom and it has a really good callus on it, and the rest of the stem is still firm. I don't want any rot spreading from that spot, though. Cut it now, or wait and see?

Picture one is the setup, you can see the shelf on the left (I know it's dusty). The rest are the spot
