That's not lyi. That's aff. thomsonii. The TRUE lyi (EPC 939) looks like this:

Hard to see in this old pic (I really need to take an updated photo!), but the leaves are slightly pubescent. The true lyi will need a bit of extra care, as it is found in limestone habitats.

I don't have aff. thomsonii yet (I will soon, though!), so I can't speak to it's care.

Ah, okay....Google was deceiving me!! lol. I guess it's aff Thomsonii I want. Perhaps a future int'l order?? :-)

As for care...I have mine in a net pot inside of another pot in a chunky mix. Not too fussy,but likes to dry out between watering.I have it in a East window because I think the natural daylight hour of the seasons will trigger it to flower, I'm thinking from summer daylight to shorter daylight in the fall.

Oh I'm glad this came up. I "grow" this hoya only it doesn't actually GROW. It sits there. I've tried it in a couple of locations and that didn't help. I'm going to start over with a smaller pot and grittier mix and see what happens. I've had the plant 2 years. I got it from Tropiflora.

I looked up Ttopiflora and all they had was 1 Dischidia :-/

Tropiflora isn't know for their hoyas but call them they don't always have everything on their website.
