Stain for white oak

We are putting in 3000 square feet of white oak floors. Can you tell me the stains I can use to achieve this gray look?

This look is best achieved by a professional.

I haven't found anyone who can do a gray stain on my flooring. Even had a paint store mix up a custom stain but it turned out milky not gray. Please let me know if you have any luck!

This look is only achieved offsite because it takes several processes to produce this look. Very hard to do on the jobsite.

We offer the Rubio fumed product prefinished over white oak just like this. It looks great.

My professional floor people (Floors Like Glass) are using Rubio Monocoat Fumed with 50% black oil over it to achieve this look. If you want it lighter use 25% black mixed with clear. Or just clear over fumed. It is so dimensional, so beautiful! Sorry my pictures just do not do it justice.

In the above pictures you can see the fumed product over white oak behind Mike. He is adding the oil. I will post more pics when they do the great room. This was their test room since they had never used the products before. Should be done by the first week in December.

We have finished ours and literally WE finished them. The company we hired was trying it for the first time ( or second after the trial room) simply did not follow directions and messed up the fuming which we redid without sanding again. That took out most of the marks they left but darkened the floor more so I remixed the oil to about 30% black and 70% clear. Fuming is simple and the application of the oil is simple. See the attached pics of it fumed, I will attach more to next post of it finished. It looks FANTASTIC! Again, it is hard to capture the true color, it has undertones of blue, purple and grey.

This look can be achieved onsite as I said earlier by a very hi end floor pro. Here is one we have just finished. Not the exact same color combo but all monocoat products.
