Anja, These are an heirloom bulb that came from Florida via EBay. There have been two different sellers offering these bulbs over the years and I have bought from them both. I bought my first bulb about 3 or 4 years ago and although I lost my largest bulb, they have done well growing in a pot inside There were pictures of huge stands of these growing in the ground and I couldn't resist. I have no idea about the parentage and I also have had no luck getting any of them to set seeds although I'll try again this year with different choices. Obviously, they offset readily.

This just goes to show what these can do if you can plant them outside!!

Five blooms on my large bulb that is now in hippie heaven. The flowers are a unique strong watermelon color with deep red in the throat and orange streaks mostly in the ends of the petals. The color really catches your eyes when you see them, it's almost neon! Also a light fragrance completes the picture!!

I also have another that I call Ebay #1 from North Carolina that is beautiful also and highly fragrant. I have in the past given many of these away to members on this forum but I never heard that they ever lived or bloomed from anyone other than Alana, a girl who no longer posts. I'll post pictures if they bloom for me this year...:-)

Beautiful Donna!! I have found that the fragrance is stronger when the temps are higher. When the temps are lower I have to smell the flower itself, when higher I can smell the fragrance walking by, especially Blossom Peacock and Jewel. J

What a pitty, he does not ship to Germany! :-( But please post pictures of Ebay#1 too, Donna! I remember that name from an old thread and I liked it very much.

Jody, I have the same experience with the fragrance. Sometimes, at Emanuelle for example, I can only smell it when the sun is shining on the flowers.

They are all very beautiful but I too like Cynthia more than Judy. And if it is even hardy! Do you have very cold winters, Béatrice? Are they fragrant too?

Anja , I don't think they are frangrant (I always forgot smelling them !). Cynthia , in the garden has always survived and got -10°c , the only problem outside for her is NBF !

No , unfortunatly , I just ordered the 2 ones I showed. They are both prolific.Judy was totaly eaten by NBF in the garden so I don't know if this one is hardy.I only have one in pot now...going to bloom soon both
