Get rid of it…unless you garden for wildlife. Saw greenbrier feeds a lot of birds and its thickets provide cover for small mammals.

It is a bane. It does not look like any greenbriar lovers here. I have seen it being sold in garden sites in other areas of the country......LOL. Make sure you get the corm below. It looks to small to have much of one at this point but if it has one and it breaks off, all you have done is make it angry and it will grow a buddy corm and send out two shoots , or more. I fight large patches of this stuff. I have relegated half an acre as a no go zone. It is for birds and rattlesnakes.

Birds is how it got here i think. Pulled it out, no corm but there was a seed/shell still attached at the bottom.
