We used 2 different Sikkens products. 1st we did 2 coats of Sikkens Cetol 1 color #009 (dark oak). 2nd we applied multiple coats of Sikkens Cetol 23 color #009 (dark oak). All spray and let dry. No wiping. I think we did 2 or 3 coats in the second step.

very nice! Are the boards above the beams cedar also?

Yes. T&G smooth side out. Beams were 1x8's I think. Rough side out on beams. Looked very good finished. I went back and ran this same thing on all the eves of my home.
