Looking for a Sideboard

Hello all! My wife and I really like the Brenna Sideboard from Joss & Main (https://www.jossandmain.com/Brenna-Sideboard-KUI6701.html?refid=GX93150242174-KUI6701&device=m&ptid=154649160060&gclid=COK3kaTf8dICFU42gQodMq8KUg) however we are looking for something lighter.

Anyone know something similar to this but in a lighter color? We'd really appreciate it and think of your contribution every time we used it :D

Come on Sophie, it's Sunday. Relax! I know I would love a bigger home dec budget, but there is more important things to pay for. We all do the best we can.

As bargain basement cheap as that disposable ''furniture'' is, just buy it and paint it whatever color you want.

That one looks a little bit country? Your inspiration one looked more modern? Which style are you going for?

Timothy, Sophie isn't the most diplomatic, as you have found if you have been on Houzz before, but she has some good points. I could see taking the black unit and doing a "white wash" on it to give it a kind of driftwood or as light as you wanted look. It is a great "style" and size and sometimes that is more important. Also, what are you pairing it with in terms of table and chairs. Could you post some photos of those elements? Or is the above picture your dining room?

Definitely a good idea, if the size and overall look is good then you should purchase it and paint it. There is no shame in this.

Sophie lived up to her Houzz profile, dishing reality like a pro. To answer the larger question - It wasn't the style (modern vs country) we were interested in. Rather, the visible storage and size. We're very happy with what we found :)

And yes, the second photo is a very poorly lit picture of our dining room. We closed on the house less than a month ago. Everything is coming together, albeit slowly.
