Layout help for awkward floorplan needed

I'm wondering if I can get ideas on how to layout my kitchen cabinets/appliances and then furniture as well for a strange floorplan. We removed a wall and a 2nd fireplace to give us more options. I wrote in where I thought the rooms should be, but I don't have an eye for any of this. I hope you can see the dimensions I entered.

I am most concerned with easy access to the laundry room area which has the door to our garage This is how we normally exit our house. We also keep our jackets and shoes in our laundry/mud room.

The only furniture we need to have room for is:

a desk that is 66"x 32"

a piano ( keyboard measuring 52.5"x 12" x 40" high

dining table 78" w need to expand once a year to 110"w. It is 39.5" D and 29.5" H.

A sidetable that can be used for anything. It's an antique, so I would prefer to keep it ( 66"w 18" D and 35"H.

we can buy all other furniture needed to fit the space

my appliances I'm buying are standard depth refrigerator 36" w, 30" range, 24" steam combi oven, standard dishwasher, 36" hood.

I have attached a drawing with dimensions. The dotted lines are not walls, I was just showing measurements.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Susanne

Is this basically the existing layout with the kitchen and probably breakfast nook in the front?

Yes, this is the existing layout. The kitchen was an alley kitchen to the left of the entry hall.. we removed a load bearing wall to make the new kitchen area open to the new dining area and family room. That little wall that is 32" deep between the new kitchen and dining area houses a huge pillar that I can't remove..

Your drawing is a bit difficult for me to read. How many inches square is each square on the graph paper?

I'm sorry. Maybe I can figure out how to do it on excel? Each square on the graph paper represents 1 foot.

This drawing should work. How thick is that 32" wall that houses the pillar between the kitchen and dining room?

It's 7 3/4 "w. . I have a full 121" to that little wall and 28ft to the right of that wall of Workable space. The only measurements that are slightly off is wall with the doorway to the laundry room. I have 292" total. 156" inches of usable wall to the door to the laundry and another 87" to the right of the door. That leaves 49" for the door, moulding and a little space in either side of the door moulding( about 5 inches) so it doesn't feel too boxed in with cabinets. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at this. I've never been able to use that family room as there was an enormous corner fireplace taking up too much space. Since that room is narrow by the fireplace that we kept, the only thing I can think of is making it a dining space..

I forgot to mention that I am getting new windows so I can change the sizes if need be.
