if you can get your hands on one or two plants.. you can probably root more plants.. inside a few weeks ... subject to the topic which shall not be mentioned .. lol ... by me anyway ....

I was comparing previous years at same (other) house - couple years germinated well, then last year (at previous house, same as prior years) had trouble. Fast forward to this year = new house, poor germination. If I had noticed the poor germination in this new house only I would chalk it up to some unknown variance, but like I said, did notice a difference year-to-year at prior house.

Too early to find NG impatiens plants here, as you know, and would take too long to grow from cuttings if purchased late April/early May. Seed is a terrific economical way to go with NG impatiens, and very glad seed of individual colors is now available; I am questioning, however, a series switch going forward.

Just out of curiosity, which company did you purchase your Divine series seeds from? Was that the same company in each case?

I don't recall which company I used in prior years, but I do purchase from the same handful of companies (Swallowtail, Stokes, and Harris). This year, I purchased the individual colors from two different companies due to availability issues.

Hazzards sells larger quantities of seeds primarily for commercial growers, but they will sell to home gardeners who can use seeds in the quantities that they sell. Because they sell to commercial growers, they have a very wide selection of varieties to choose from. I purchased some White Cactus Zinnia seed from them, because they had cactus zinnias in separate colors. Very few seed companies have that.
