Advise about height of tub/ shower combo

In our bathroom remodel, want to put a soaker tub (height of 21 inch) into what will be a shower/tub combo. I am concerned the tub will be too high for stepping in. This is my master bath, and shower will be used daily, as will the tub (almost daily). Also considering the extra inch or so of the surround will potentially make this a 22 in step in.

Does anyone have this situation currently and what are your thoughts on it? Do you regret it or happy with it? Any advise is welcome (within reason..LOL)

Way too high. Measure your current tub, then put some folded towels or something on it to see how high the 22 inches would be. Or make up a 22 inch high "tub" out of cardboard boxes on a nice padded surface in case you fall while trying it out.
