What paint color for walls and cabinets with taj mahal quartzite?

We have chosen Taj mahal for our kitchen counters and need help with paint colors. I'd like to bring out the warm tones and use a warm white. Any recommendations? Not sure if I am going to be forced to go with grays or greiges instead. We have wood floors and will choose a white or bone subway back splash. Thanks!

Joann, I love your kitchen. I just picked similar colors with a TM counter and so happy to see your pics how it all came together. What kind of floor did you go with?
The flooring is from California Classics. Several types, colors and colors to choose from.
I went with the Mediterranean Collection French Oak Levant.

Are you happy choosing a lighter grout with the encore tile? I am doing the light gray encore and deciding between matching the tile and going lighter to contrast? One of the installers recommended an epoxy grout for durability. What did you use?

I wanted a lighter grout but my installer was against it. He told me it would have to much contrast and stand out and all you would see is the grout.
I took his advice. My tile is Walker Zanger crackle so they had to seal it first. Not sure what they used as the product for the grout.

Wondering the maker and style of your hardware. It looks like polished or satin nickel, what made you choose one or the other. Your kitchen is beautiful. I'm doing mine now with White Dove cabinets and TM countertops as well. Mahogany for the island. Will show pix when done!

The kitchen door pulls are from Top Knobs polished nickel. Good luck with your kitchen. Love to see photos.

Joanne- Where did you get your bar stools?

They are from William Sonoma. If you open their cc, they give you 20pct off and points.

Woops , sorry I thought you asked Jeanne but I see Joanne. Love hers too!

Lamps plus. They came in gray and beige.

Hi Joanne, can you tell me the specific Walker Zanger backsplash tile you used? When I look at ‘brownstone’ on their website, it looks more gold to me. Thanks!

You have to go see it in person but it may be discontinued???

@Ashley Croker What backsplash did you choose for Taj leathered? Can we see pics? We are going the same route with counters, and struggling to pick a backsplash!

@DK F jumping in - I just picked Stellar Campton 4 x 8 in Smoke. I'm going more the route away from any greys and picking up on the taupes of the Taj. I bought the leathered and OMG I am so excited! I can't wait till it's installed.

    White Dove BM paint cabinets
    Sandstone Dunn Edward for walls

Carmen Ramos can you post a picture of your finished install? I also have Taj Mahal counters and want to move away from the gray for a backsplash.

    Hello
I decided against the tile I chose originally. It didn’t work with this application. I did go with a cream subway til which I love. It’s a Walker Zanger.

The Taj Mahal is leathered which I have had both and really love it better than polished. Cabinets are sawn rift white oak cabinets.
    Hope this helps!

Joanne, Who is the manufacturer and where did you find the tile you first choose? It has “Off White Field” printed on top. I love this….

    Hi Joanne,

Can you share the details on the cream Walker Zanger cream subway tile? I love it and it seems like it is just the right white. All I the ones I have tried so far are either to stark or too yellowish.

3 X 6 Tile I suggest you purchase or try several next to each other and make a final pick. I had 5 total. One was too white while another was too pink or too yellow. This one is consistently the same color and is crackle. You will need a liquid sealer placed first.

Maybe look at BM Stone Hearth and Edgecomb Gray. My walls are Edgecomb and in my lighting are not that gray (I try to stay away from grays).

My walls and island are white dove which is a cream white

Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee and Sand Dune are nice paint colors to go with Taj Mahal too, especially if your slab is on the warmer side (the one on the right) rather than the cooler varieties of TM (left slab)
