Are your floors site finished/sealed (like with a Swedish finish), waxed, or are they factory finished/engineered? If they are sealed, you can use distilled vinegar and water to wash them. If they aren't sealed, you could still use that solution, but much more carefully and with a just damp mop/cloth.

Welcome to Gardenweb fggffdg. Used infrequently, warm water/Dawn and Pledge on a dustmop are not going to hurt what I presume are sealed wooden floors.

I spot clean my floors with plain water and a microfiber cloth. For dusting, I use the vacuum cleaner with a wood floor attachment.

Just water or water and vinegar (I have red oak, finished with 3 coats of oil based poly on-site).
