About 15 yrs ago a wholesaler sold me one just like the one with the less variegation for $10. It then gave me offsets like the media picta above....I do believe they are quite rare. Haven't seen any others personally. just a few pics online is all.

Lydia so you know more about agave? I think j have a variegated Americana but I'm not exactly sure.... It was a NOID when I bought it...
It's the one in the background... Sorry for highjacking your thread. I've just started collecting agave's I love their cold tolerance.

I think you are right. Looks just like what I'm seeing online. Yours is a medio picta like my desmetiana.
