Magnolia Cuttings Care

I had to do a heavy late prune on a star magnolia (kobus) at my new house. It had been so badly poodle-ized that the witch's broom was causing the new growth to curve etc. etc. and with the briefly returned cold I saw a window and took it (Feb was 70s and March returned to the 30s and snow here). So I had all of these strong greenwood cuttings with good close nodes so I impulsively stuck a bunch of them in some rooting hormone and some rooting mix. They have no leaves pushing but some fat buds. What are my chances? :)

Is it warm enough outside to leave them? Morning sun afternoon shade? Should I cloche them? Tent them? Bring them inside and put with my seedlings and mist? I don't have a cold frame but have been meaning to get one and could bring them inside while I wait for one to arrive. I'm in Northern Virginia; temps are now in the mid 60s to low 70s and lows around mid 50 at night.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
