I guess no one is trying out this type but me.

Silvia, I know those types well tropic beauty is a great peach. Tropic snow is a white peach that a lot of my club members grow but i don't care for white peaches. I'm trying the sam houston for a couple of reasons I wanted a later season peach then my florida Prince and i found the sam houston on sale for $5 It's low chill at less then 300 chill hours so I'm hoping it will fit well and so far its good. Last year it bloomed right after I put it in the ground and it produced 1 peach but i have no idea how much chill it got were ever it was. so for it to be blooming this year is a good sign since this winter was so mild.

Up date it went from 3or4 blooms to more 20. I hope it sets fruit.

Attract bees to your yard. Plant some flowers they like. I found they love Snapdragons and Pentas.

Your blossoms will get well pollinated!

Glenn, peaches this season are good! Yesterday I got 2 different varieties one from the farmers market and the other one from the local farm, they were both good but the farm were better because the variety was semi clingstone while the farmers market are clingstone. Late in the season the white peaches will ripen and I like both varieties yellow and white.

It is also time for the blueberries and this season are great! time for me to go pick blueberries to the local farms for fresh eating and preserves. I got few planted in my garden, not enough!

Congrats on your blooms!

Silvia

Silvia, I wish I had a good farmers market or farm near me. The best i have is a pick your own strawberry place the grows in hydroponics
