This is the 3rd year for my mr lincoln and the bush has expanded with some early long stems that have greened out as if needing a trellis . I have pruned this guy back and am expecting a good show from it this season, maybe my best so far.

That's great!! We'll be expecting many pictures this season!!! :)

Hello Dan, those look really nice. Did you ever try bending those long stems so that you can get more blooms. Last winter I tied the long branches in a curve:

And now I have so many blooms on that curved and bent branch. Hopefully I can send the photos of the results this weekend.
