family room furniture placement

My family room needs an update. This is where we spend most of our time.



The 2 lounge chairs in front of the TV are a must stay because the large TV is the focal point in the room.

    This room seems pretty nice to me -- what do you dislike? The only thing that jumps out to me is that the rug is too close in tone to the floor, so I'd get something lighter for better contrast and to lighten the room. You might also pull some colors from the great art over your fireplace for some accents, and consider adding a coffee table or ottoman.
