Never!!!!

Wait until the robot runs the mower through the home owners exotic flower garden that the robot can not differentiate from weeds

Seems that they can already clearly differentiate flower beds from weeds.

Just imagine how much more advanced these things will be in ten years. Will free up so much time for us to focus more on edging, weed control, fertilization, etc. Not to mention, the idea of a robot maintaining a constant cut (consistently removing much less than 1/3 of the blade) will result in an overall healthier lawn.

I don't know if it is any good, but I want one! lol. morpheus has had one for years and seems to like it (max height is only 3 inches though). It is unclear from the video how long it takes a typical yard to mow. The one in the video took 2 days. Does that mean the thing is mowing all the time in order to take only a fraction of an inch of grass off? I guess it would depend on the size of the yard and mower selected, but I don't know if I'd want one of these things in my yard running every night all night. Maybe I would... OK I want one again.

The theft angle might be a problem in some areas. It's not enough that it's unusable to anyone else, there's always somebody who wants to screw things up for people, dumb kids etc.

If they could make a snoblower... hm

Ted, you're a genius! Self blowing snowblower. Great idea.

Even the golf courses are getting in on it, albeit at $45k a piece plus installation!
