It hasn't produced any new basal canes this year (which it normally gives me huge canes). I've only been watering 1 to 2 times a week, the ground is still slightly wet from rain that we got a while back. It's been about 3 weeks since I've given any fertilizer. As for weather it's been sunny an slightly cool (maybe 65-75 deg/slightly inland san diego).

I have a Lincoln from California that I brought from California and moved to ALABAMA.

its is humid and my rose does not look happy. the leaves has dark color and looks sick.

I cannot blame Mister Lincoln, as I would not want to move from California to Alabama myself. I’m sure I’d throw a much bigger fit than whatever he did!

Ben, do they have Glories in California? They do in coastal Gulf of America around Mobile, Alabama. Ask me what a Glory is unless you already know what it is? 🤔

Apologies Ben, its a Jubilee, not a Glory that occurs in Mobile Bay, Alabama.

When weather conditions cause an oxygen deprived condition, fish of all kinds, especially: shrimp, crabs, flounders, etc...in vast numbers congregate in very shallow waters along the shore. There, among many other seafood of numerous species (maximum amount per day per licensed fisherman is enforced), 5 gallon buckets full of shrimp, heads on, can be practically scooped up with small nets. The same goes for Blue Crabs, 5 gallon bucket per day, but they must be 5" from shell, tip to shell tip. Croakers, Virginia Spots, even Redfish in unbelievable congregation in water often even under a foot deep are present for the taking. Only 5 flounder per person, per day is permitted, because they are trying to make a comeback from overfishing in the recent past.

Do you have Jubilees in California? Only in Alabama and one other location, and that's in Japan....nowhere else in the world.

I would enjoy that immensely, Ben. Plan on bringing your little dog, because I believe he would be our expert fisherman, snatching the biggest flounders for us, and having the time of his life doing so (I know we would need a fishing license, but I wonder if he would....I guess it would depend on his age, under 16, fishes free! 😁). I have a special love of Chihuahuas. My good friend's granddaughter has a female named 'Cupcake,' who has the world by the tail. Everyone loves her. Who wouldn't love a little dog named, 'Cupcake'?
