Kid/Guest Bathroom - Honed Carrera or Porcelain Tile

I need help trying to decide on the tile for our guest/kid bathroom remodel. Photos of options listed below!

We have Carrera in our other two bathrooms, so we wanted to be consistent (plus we love the look), but we don't want it destroyed by our kids either. Also, the vanity we chose is darker wood with a Carrera top. We are putting a freestanding soaking tub and separate shower with glass wall into this bathroom as well (our master bath has a steam shower but no tub, so we are putting a nicer tub in here for our use too).

Option 1: Matte gray hex porcelain tile on the floor (matching gray grout) with a 3x12 white polished porcelain tile on the shower/bath walls (matching white grout). One of the white tiles is wavy like it was hand pressed and the other is flat like a regular subway tile looks. $1K cost

Option 2 (our preference): 5" honed hex Carrera on the floor and a 3x8 honed Carrera on the shower/bath walls (using a medium gray grout throughout). $2K cost

My husband prefers option 2, even though it costs more. We are not as concerned about the cost, but want to make a prudent choice for resale, aesthetics and possible rough usage by 3 kids (4/7/8yo) over time.

Do you think the Carrera could hold up nicely being in a kids bathroom? Is it worth the added cost and added maintenance (sealing yearly, etc.) to keep the bathrooms consistent in style/design? Is Option 1 a better option due to lower maintenance/cost, plus aesthetically it's pretty nice too, but is it too trendy and won't stand the test of time style-wise?
