Another what is this plant?

I've got a bunch of this in the back yard and so far, I like it (only been in this house four months). It seems to do a good job of taking over ground-cover duties in some places where I pulled out ivy.

So what is it?

    And BTW, 'Herman's Pride' which looks quite similar is NOT invasive. I've had two plantings for many years. But the straight species is very invasive.
