Could Australian Tree Fern be what you received?

the only sure way to know would be to contact the person that you traded with or wait until it has fronds showing to better ID it.

Upon comparing your Fern to mine, I don't think it's ATF. ATF has redder hairs than yours.

Thank you I believe it may be a tree fern it has a trunk looking thing that's about 6 inches

There are dozens of tree ferns native to Australia, so calling it an "Australian Tree Fern" doesn't mean much.

Your pic appears to be that of the unfurling crosiers of a Cyathea cooperi.
