My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I am getting ready for the spring yard clean-up in central Massachusetts and prepping for an application of pre-emergent weed killer once the forsythia start to bloom.
Dead grass blades lying underneath the grass canopy is not that uncommon especially coming out of winter. Once the soil warms up that stuff should disappear with normal soil microbial activity. Thatch is not simply dead grass blades, so I agree it is very likely unnecessary.
I have heard reports of forsythia getting tricked by the weather this year. I would put the preemergent down now. Do you see any weed growth anywhere? It's getting pretty late into April to not see anything.
