Good morning, I am looking for a shrub to train on a trellis. I used to have a pyracantha on it that was doing wonderfully until it caught a blight. I then bought another variety that was supposed to be more resistant to the blight but that one got it too. Maybe the blight was still in the soil? I was thinking that maybe an azalea or female holly might work? The area is in my back yard against the wall of the garage. It faces east but is partially blocked by my house. I guess you can say it's partial sun and shade. My other half wants to do an espalier of a dwarf apple tree but I am not sure there would be enough sun back there for that. I would also probably have to get another trellis and place them side by side to give the tree more room. I am in CT zone 6. Thanks!
