Where is "HERE"? Central New York State (Zone 5)? Guessing you're planting in Florida despite your username data. (Isn't much of Central Florida now in growing drought?) Leaves may be sun burned but your posting is so confusing, who knows. Fertilizer is not magic and will not help a tree that is otherwise struggling or acclimating to new conditions. You gotta be PATIENT with citrus. They are robust trees but kinda resent change and don't like being pushed. If conditions are not adverse, the plant will eventually rebound. When you do water, do you water generously? If the plants soil is very different from the surrounding soil, it may not be getting the water. Did you loosen up the roots some before planting. Did you mulch?

Thanks, "here" is in Georgia Z9b. I thought I edited the post to say that. I edited my profile with the new zone, but it won't show up with my username. HOUZZ is a bit of a pita. The roots are definitely getting the water. I loosened the roots a bit before planting. What is confusing, besides the "here," I thought I explained it pretty well? Maybe more watering is the answer. I use a wooden probe to keep track of the soil moisture, and haven't let the soil dry out completely. I haven't mulched yet, but I can. Wasn't sure mulching was the way to go yet. We are in a level D1 drought now.

I would be very careful fertilizing a fresh transplant so soon.. Almost killed my Meyer a couple years ago over fertilizing. Use a light dose of an organic citrus fertilizer if needed for now.

Add 1 tablespoon table sugar to each gallon of water to feed the roots to help them get growing. If your water's PH is above 7 add a tablespoon of vinegar.

I'm not fertilizing. I did lightly a couple of week ago, and that's it. poncirusguy, great minds think alike. My natural soil is very acidic, 4.7 due to oak leaves, and the soil in the planting hole is around 7.0. My water is 8.0. So as of today I'm adding 3 tablespoons of vinegar to each 2 gallons, which will bring the pH of my water to 6.0. Might add a little sugar also.
