It is an arborvitae, a Thuja something-or-other ... right?

Maybe a Green Giant, despite its limited growth over these last 3 years.

I'm not very knowledgeable on landscaping or shrubs/trees but that is my guess.

I think Digit nailed it, thuja. It seems like thuja occidentalis is frequently carried at the big box stores here.

You might take a look at Lowe's and Home Depot the next time you're there to verify. They have the potential to get 20 - 40 feet tall and 10 - 20 feet wide, so keep that in mind. I tend to take tree size estimates and lower them 30% because of how tough conditions are here. It looks happy and very nice where it is, but has the potential to outgrow the space over time.

IF you want an accurate ID, try posting this on the Conifer forum. Many different conifers look quite similar in appearance and the experts there can nail it down for you.
