I had a clicker years ago but it never really worked out mostly because I'd set it down and then couldn't use it. Recently I bought a little pouch with a belt, with two compartments, the treats go in one, my cell phone/keys go in the other, and the clicker hangs outside of it. I am wearing the pouch all day so when a desired behavior occurs, I have the clicker and the treats right there.

The dogs are still learning that I have to ask them, by name, for a behavior and they get the treat when they do it. Right now, if they hear a click used with one of them, they all congregate in front of me. If I'm not asking the congregation for something, I pet them but otherwise don't reward.
