Backsplash ideas?

This is basicallly what my kitchen looks like and we are trying to decide on the back splash.
My husband thinks it should contrast with the granite? Not sure about that.
What do you think?

    You could contrast or complement. There's no right or wrong in that matter; it's just a matter of personal preference. If you wanted to contrast, there are brown, caramel, and burgundy tones in that granite you could play up on the walls. Or you could complement it with a white, cream, or light brown tile.
