3 Different Adeniums in bloom today :)

I was surprised to see three of them open new flowers today after having rain all day yesterday and half of the day today.....no sunshine until today late. They are all in my greenhouse but I was thinking with no sun in the last 2 days, that the blooms wouldn't be open.....then I went to mist my seedlings and saw this :)

The one from Lowes reblooming and still has the bloom from the other day, the small pink with dark pink border I purchased off Ebay a few months back (it's like 5 inches tall) with hardly any leaves and the red one named Black Fire that I purchased back on 8/1/2014.

I can't wait for my seedlings to grow up and see what kind of blooms they will give me!

That red one is lush. Very nice. I too am eager to see mine bloom, especially these seedlings. They are growing by leaps and bounds now so I hope I'll see some of them bloom later this summer. If not, then next spring surely. Nice that you have a greenhouse where you can keep them out of the rain when you need to. ;)

Jeannie, Those are very nice looking blooms. Especially love the Red one. Looks like quite a large flower.

Hi Rick,

It's as large as the one from Lowes, so I think just average size. The lighter pink is smaller, but I was thinking it was because the plant is very small. Here's a picture of Black Fire when I purchased it and it said grafted....

and the picture I took farther away (through my screened door) shows more of the darker red (blackish) color.

I also purchased a red Adenium named "Apollo" from the same seller of the small pink one. Hope it blooms soon!

Frank....You were right, the Black Fire is larger than the other one. I got to thinking that I really didn't compare them (just noticed their beauty), so I went out and measured....the best that I could!

All 3 are beautiful....no matter what size!

If you grow any of them as smaller bonsai, with lots of tree like branching, the smaller flowers will be more desirable for those forms. More in proportion to the scale. But the large flowered plants look particularly nice if you grow them a bit bigger. Not that you have to, mind but it is an option for bigger impact and more variety.
