Don't worry too much Atheen! My puppy has knocked over a few of mine and they are fine. Water it and pack it down some...it should be fine.

You should be fine, but do not overwater! Soggy roots will not help it recover.

I know that when a plant undergoes movement or shakes, like from the wind, it causes the tree to grow more roots and strengthen the ones that it already has. Roots have to be forgiving with what they have to put up with out in the wild. Hopefully all that will happen is your tree will grow stronger and get some new roots to replace the old! If it felt like only little roots broke then you are def fine! The main roots are quite strong. I dug up my lemon that died and is main root was still strong, even after it was completely dead for a while. (I hung on for a bit hoping to see if it showed any new life)

Citrus kinda remind me of roses in their tenacity despite their numerous vulnerabilities in this world. They seem vulnerable to all manner of virus and blights but still linger to dear life. Geez, maybe that's way I have dozens around in my collection. Even when I think one dead (for having no leaves) and heading for the compost heap, they seem to refoliate incessantly. I would not worry about the disturbance.

PS., Is it in its summer location or are you moving it back and forth between the house and the the great outdoors? Moving in regularly between both worlds WOULD be a problem. You should be able to leave it outside already in your zone.

The weather in my area has been completely erratic for the past month whenever we think that spring is getting along we go back to nights in the low forties so no I could not have transferred outside before right now.

I'm in the process of taking them outside in the shade 3-4 of hours a day so as not to shock them with too much light, since last time I did that they lost all their leaves. I suspect that by next week I'll be able to leave them outside all day long and maybe the week after that or possibly next week if the night temperatures are in the high 50s I'll be able to leave them out at night as well.

He's doing great! Bless the Lord, he hasn't had a problem since the surgery. We're still watching what we're eating not to go back into excess mode, but honestly it's not a bad thing. Before the pancreatitis, he was still eating like a 17 year old... Not a bad idea to get on a healthier diet

I'm I'm so glad you think that my tree is going to be okay. I was really really worried of it not being able to absorb the nutrients and the water after I did my stupid little stunt and pulled the trunk 3 inches out of the damn pot. God knows how many capillaries broke... Baaad Atheen. Very bad.

Atheen, that great to hear!! I've been wondering how he is doing. Give him my regards will you? How's that tree today? Is it doing ok? Beautiful sunnier warm days to even bring back any of our dead tree back to life. I call mine citrus zombies by the time I can put mine out. Not really fully alive but able to walk half dead until they die again come winter..lol

BaconEater, you are way too funny! lol Mines told me the same thing when I broke my foot falling off the ladder and when mine got blown off and lost their heads..No more..lol
