I have one Paw Paw and it is going to flower soon for the first time. They have such unusual beautiful flowers. I am on the North side of Chicago. But my thought is that your flowering tree is still too young, even
though it is starting to flower, doesn't mean it is ready to bear fruit
yet.

Maybe, tree is about 10' tall with around 100 flowers on it so it is decent in size.

Wow! Mine is still 4 feet tall - planted 2 years ago. They are slow growing in the beginning. Any photos of the blooms?

That is a gorgeous tree. I hope someone from your area responds. As a side note, I used gibberellin on my female hardy kiwi last year with great success. Because my male hardy kiwi didn't flower yet. Gibberellin is used to simulate fruit "pregnancy" in seedless watermelons and seedless grapes, for example. Just an idea.

I have 3 hardy kiwi also I have yet to get flowers on them. I planted them 3 years ago. Are the fruits pretty tasty?

My hardy kiwis tasted just the same as large fuzzy kiwis, but the difference is they were more ripe, vs store bought, so the taste was richer. I went and bought 6 more different variety plants after my first harvest. They are worth growing - the vines look good and are not bothered by pests or diseases (vs grapes, for example).

there is an older gentleman by the name Jerry Lehman of Terre Haute, IN. He has a large orchard of persimmon and pawpaws. You may want to google him and contact him for advice. He might be able to help you.

Jason, what variety is the paw paw with all the flowers? I bet you get a few fruits even though the other one isn't helping.

I grow everything, but my garden is only 5 years old, some plants are even younger, and some I just planted this spring.
