Kitchen granite selections

We have white shaker cabinets and will have a matte finish white subway tile backsplash in our kitchen (with accent arabesque light gray under the hood). We chose a granite slab with white and gray but are debating if we need to add some color to the island with a darker gray slab since there is so much white everywhere. I've attached pics to show (lighter slab for the perimeter of the kitchen; grayer slab for the island). I have added a few pics of the kitchen to give an idea of the layout (yes, the island looks different in the pics and that's b/c we had our trim guy work on it but I don't have a single pic showing all angles of the kitchen with the updated island design).

So, what are your thoughts? We are keeping all the cabinets the same color. Not interested in painting the island a different color. But should we keep the entire kitchen all the same light granite or make the island different with the slab with more gray swirls? There isn't enough of the slab with more gray to do the entire kitchen (they did actually have more but all the other slabs had some ugly brown portions in it that made it impossible to use so we had to move passed that idea).
