Yeah o completely agree. I'm definitely leaning towards a round dining room table as well. Seems so casual though. Is this becoming more common these days?

Yes round

I don’t find round tables casual, and for me they are much nicer for conversation and in an almost square room a great look . You will have very little space for a buffet in that space if you go 48” round so maybe you will need to go 36 x 60 to get a buffet into the space . Use some masking tape to see what you like best in there

Thanks Patricia! Yes I really like the round table idea for the same reason you mentioned. I was hoping for 60" or maybe 48 that can expand to 60 for when family comes over. I wonder if there's any way to remove the pint wall and somehow get a buffet in the corner.

How tall is the pony wall? The hunt board in Angel's last picture would be about the size. As Patricia suggested tape off the size table you want and bring in your kitchen chairs for a better visual. Good luck!
