1935 Original Leaded Glass Windows - Adding Secondary Glazing

Is it possible to rework the casing and add in a secondary glazing panel to increase the engergy efficancy or are exterior storms the only option?

Yes. Several months ago we did just that. There are a few options. I would suggest interior storm windows. That are easy to operate/remove for cleaning. A Small framed aluminum sliding windows could be installed on the interior as well.

I would use an exterior storm to protect it from the elements and to keep the interior view uninterrupted.

I love those windows. Post more photos! Very classy.

Mine were 1907. Did exterior "storms" though they fit flush with the exterior brickmould.

Some are fixed panes and some open out.

If the windows are in otherwise good shape, and interior storm (operable) will give you the additional efficiency you are looking for while preserving the operability. You will have one more step to go through, but still easy enough.
