Why not get the recessed outlet box and then purchase the outlet/usb port piece desired? ( provided you have the depth in the wall to do this )

Thanks, Debbi. That is my fallback solution. I'm trying to avoid a 90 degree bend in my USB cables. They basically stick out too much, almost negating the recessed duplex outlet.

I was wrongly under the impression that you had to buy the recessed box with only the configurations I found online. I think what you both are telling me is that I can buy a recessed box and put anything in it...like what acm shows. Hand to forehead!! Thank you!!

You should check about cover plates, though, as you may need something in particular to cover the metal brackets at top and bottom but still fit inside your recessed box.
