There are many metal fixtures in a kitchen: appliances, faucets, cabinet hardware, light fixtures, counter top appliances, pots, fruit bowls. Not all match yet they look great. Don't worry about it!

I agree with Stan Z. You would go crazy sometimes even trying to match within brands.

No stainless appliances will be an exact match, even within the same brand since each manufacturer gets their various appliances from different factories all over the world. But this is a non-issue, all brands will be close enough that you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference unless you compare up close.

thanks for weighing in everyone. I know the kitchen aid has a higher shine but I won't let that be the deciding factor as the new refrigerator 704 is awesome!

Oh, well, if it's the shine that bugs you, that's easy to get rid of. :) If you don't have kids, who will do the job without even trying, try going over it gently with a little steel wool. :)
