Young leaves (new growth from this season) some times retain the chartreuse color longer if in too much shade. They will darken over time to the normal dark green in my experience. If all the leaves show the same color, then it could be something else. Hopefully someone who had the same experience will chime in.

I agree with the above - new growth is always a much lighter, brighter color. But it should darken with maturity to a deep, rich green. If not, then it is possible there is some sort of nutrient issue, but I'd find that to be rather unlikely .........these are not demanding plants :-))

Thank you for feedback. The yellow leaved "Apricot Blush" hellebore is among a colony of green leaved hellebores. A nursery employee claims "Apricot Blush" Hellebore can show yellow leaves??

The nursery employee was talking out of his hat!! Yellow leaves are not part of any H. xhybridus' repertoire and would indicate some sort of cultural stress going on. My first guess - not having any photos to confirm - would be a nutrient deficiency of some sort but could also indicate a root problem, like a watering issue. This is the new growth that is yellow or more mature growth? Can you post a photo?

I'd be worried about yellow leaves also. Most of my plants have nice dark green leaves, and many have strong anthocyanine coloring as well. This shows up mostly in winter when some look nearly black or lustrous deep colored purples. Have never seen yellow color on mature leaves.
