Probably. Once it gets established you can completely ignore it except for pruning it so it doesn't take over the whole yard.

It does look better now, but I did not know it was invasive in ukiah, I assume the cold winter will keep it check, but I am very hands on with my garden, so I will watch out of it getting too big. The hummingbirds love it and it does not get any insects or fungals.

be careful, we bought a house with one of these that literally was a 20 x 20 ft. monster, we had to put a stake in its heart.

It really recovered it loves the heat and its so fresh and green.
