A friend of mine knew someone who bought a house that had a 20x30 garden and they are just going to rip it out and put a pool in. The owner doesn't garden and it hasn't been maintained, so there are some weeds. The garden has a lot of flowers but my friend and I are novice gardeners and weren't sure what was what. I dug up some things that I thought were flowers, but I'm not sure. I have planted them but I can dig them out if they are weeds.

Would love some advice!

The first one I thought *maybe* looked like phlox? The second I recognized from seeing it in garden centres I think... The 3rd was shapely and standing up tall before it got flattened in my car and just had the look of a legit plant. :p Clearly, I am not an expert.
