We are landscaping our backyard and replacing the old wood deck in this photo.

We have decided to do a composite deck however, instead of rails, it will have cedar fencing on either side (for privacy). The landscaper also wants to do cedar planter boxes on the deck (rather than composite). I love the TimberTech Ashwood deck in the picture below.

My concern is how everything would match or tie in. Red & black brick, cedar fencing & accents, grey deck. Does it all "go"? We would match the cedar siding in the garage to the deck and the landscaper wanted to accent with black fixtures, etc. Is there too much going on and should I choose another colour? Any suggestions are appreciated!!
