Door hardware

We are building a new home and it's time to choose the door hardware. My look is more classic, white cabinets and trim. Will have medium wood floors with a warmer tone. I want to use black hardware but I'm nervous about stepping away from my brushed nickel tradition. Will it make my house look more contemporary? Is it a style that will soon pass?

I like white cabinets with black hardware.

I think hardware color is just a small influence on the overall style of the home......black hardware can look traditional or contemporary, depending on everything else. If your furnishings and style are traditional, they won't switch to look contemporary with black hardware. Get what you want. :)

I don't think black or nickel are trendy/destined to look dated anytime soon.
