My thumbelina will be blooming on almost every tip this year.
It had a rough start to life, was a two tip cutting, one broke off, then last year I had to dig it up so the termite tenting people wouldn't break it... but now she is happy. The breakage and dig up, replant gave me an opportunity to straighten out the trunk.
I can see how, if you were looking for a mini-compact, you might be disappointed with thumbelina but I think she should make a nice little tree. Of all the plumeria I've repotted, thumbelina seems to have one of the stronger root systems. Also when you root them (at least in my experience) the tip erupts into leaves whereas many just sprout a leaf or two to start with.
