One stem or two for Sinningia Speciosa?

My Sinningia Speciosa is reblooming this season. Two stems have popped out of the tuber...I would like a symmetrical plant, but also a big and beautiful plant with lots of blooms. I imagine I should remove one of the stems so that the other can grow symmetrically without getting crowded by the other?

Probably so. I normally allow only one stem but I have grown a few plants with two crowns for the heck of it. They can be unattractive as leaves get tangled up and some are pushed so they are standing straight up. It also can be a problem to get sufficient light to a two faced plant. You can let the second crown gain a little size & then remove it to make another plant.

Let it be this season - next season you will cut off extra stems when they are stilll small and root them.
