Anyone else spend this much Time?

When I began planting apple and pear trees I had no idea thinning the excess little fruit in the spring would be such a chore. Does anyone else spend hours taking off the extra fruit? I am retired but I am sure most people do not have the time for this chore. I assumed pollination would be a problem,,with the lack of bees . I don't know how all my flowers get pollinated so well? My trees are loaded. I know this is a good problem to have I guess, but man the time! since seeing this problem I have pruned my trees to keep them small to manage. They are still a chore. I know the big orchards have some kind of spray to cut down on the flowers, coarse I wouldn't do that.
