Help for my kitchen island!

last modified: 9 years ago

We just had our kitchen remodeled and for the most part are happy with the results. However, in order to put our refrigerator in the main part of the kitchen rather than in the back hall where it was previously, they were not able to put an island where I wanted it. They moved it too far over and both my husband and I hate it and find it very inconvenient and too confining to work and eat on. Here is my question: now that the quartz and cabinets are in place, is it too late to add casters to the bottom so that it is moveable? Then we can put it in the center of the kitchen when eating or cooking and push it away when needed to open the oven and refrigerator. Thoughts? Is it possible? Does it make sense to do so? I have no problem paying additional if needed to make us both happy.
